ABSTRACT

BCAS Library management system is a project which aims in developing a computerized system to maintain all the daily work of the library. This is a system based on C# application with a Mysql database. This project has many features that are generally not available in normal library management systems like the facility of user login and other security facilities. It also has a facility of admin login through which the admin can monitor the whole system. It has also a facility where students after logging in their accounts can see a list of books issued and its issue date and return date and also the students can request the librarian to add new books by filling the book request form. The librarian after logging into his account ie admin account can generate various reports such as student report, issue report, members report and book report Overall this project of ours is being developed to help the students as well as the staff of library to maintain the library in the best way possible and also reduce the human efforts.

FUNCTIONALITIES PROVIDED BY BCAS LMS SYSTEM ARE AS FOLLOWS:

1. It provides searching for facilities based on various factors. Such as members, book issues, students, etc.
2. It tracks all the information of library members, addresses, issues, etc.
3. Manage the information of the librarian.
4. Show the information and description of the members, books, and all.
5. To increase the efficiency of managing the member, librarian.
6. It deals with monitoring the information and transaction of issues.
7. Using CRUD (Create, Update, Run, Delete) facilities of records.
8. Provided a good looking and user-friendly interface.

INPUT DATA AND VALIDATION OF BCAS LMS SYSTEM ARE AS FOLLOWS:

1. All the fields such as members, books, students are validated and do not take invalid values.
2. Each form for members, Librarian, address can not accept blank values fields.
3. Avoiding errors in an application using advanced try-catch methods.
4. Controlling the amount of input.
